Worship Team

Our New Chapel band leads the worship music at our 11:15 am service. Through contemporary music as well as classic hymns, the band works together to bring a musical sacrifice of praise as we worship our God. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings.

Bell Choir

The bell choir is a unique enhancement to our worship experience, presenting works from many different composers. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings.

Tech Team

Our tech crew ensures our worship services run smoothly, so our focus can be on the Lord. From operating cameras, mics, and sound equipment to projecting song lyrics for both in-person and livestream services, our tech crew brings a wealth of knowledge to the practical challenges of worship.

Altar Guild

One of the most visible behind-the-scenes service opportunities, the altar guild is responsible for dressing the altar, arranging flowers, and ensuring the care and preservation of our beautiful altar cloths and vestments.

Acolytes

The acolyte ministry assists with the 9 am service in the preparation of the altar, leading the procession, and providing helping hands throughout the service. With opportunities open to anyone fifth grade or older, this ministry is an excellent opportunity for younger members who want to be more involved in our church.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Readers

Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Readers (or Lectors) form an integral part of our worship. Serving communion, reading the Word of the Lord, and offering the Prayers of the People, they assist in drawing us together as a Body before our Lord.

Welcome Team

For many, the Welcome Team is a first connection to worship at Good Samaritan. Members gather in specific places near our doors ready to greet and welcome visitors, answer questions about ministries here, and offer connections to people or places in the church.

Ushers and Greeters

Cheerful volunteers work together to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, greeting the congregation with smiles as they usher us into worship together.

Café Good Sam

Café Good Sam was started in 1998 by the Men’s Ministry to provide excellent coffee and nibbles for our fellowship time between services. Thanks to their efforts, Good Sam is known as a church that serves actually good coffee.

Sunday Lunch Ministry

The mission of the Sunday lunch ministry is to create a space of hospitality for Good Samaritan members and visitors following the 11:15 am service. Offering buffet-style meals with vegetarian and vegan options, this time of breaking bread and fellowship is often cited by newcomers as a key reason they returned to Good Sam.
