Creative Specialist
Elrena has been dancing at The Church of the Good Samaritan since 1990. In addition to classical ballet, she has studied modern, tap, jazz, and various styles of folk. As a teenager she trained and toured with Valerie Henry, and then continued her dance studies while at Bucknell University and Penn State. She is passionate about lifelong dancing, and finding ways to move through the various changes of the body. The mother of five children, she holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and is the author of several books, most recently the children’s picture book When I Go to Church, I Belong (IVP).
