Join us for our new Tuesdays at Good Sam Course, Sacrifice in the Bible with Dr Phillip Cary

Adult Christian Formation

Primary Header Image

At Good Sam, Adult Christian Formation looks like reading Scripture and texts from the Christian tradition slowly, carefully, and in conversation with one another.

By returning to the Bible again and again, and by learning from the great readers of the Church across the centuries, we seek to become Christians who think deeply, pray faithfully, and “comprehend with all the saints… the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge” (Eph 3. 18 – 19).

Ashton Seminar

On Sunday mornings at 10:15 am in Ashton Hall, expert readers help us read Scripture more closely in order to develop our theological and moral imagination.

These videos from previous Ashton Seminar classes offer a glimpse into the kind of close reading and theological conversation we practice each week.

Short Courses

Good Sam’s gifted teachers offer short, focused courses on theology, prayer, Scripture, and Christian life, helping us deepen our understanding of particular issues, texts, and practices. Courses are offered on Sunday mornings at 10:15 am.

Saturday Seminars

Several times each year, we will invite luminaries from across the Anglican world—the best ones we know—to help us read Scripture and think about the Christian life with greater depth, clarity, and imagination.

These videos from previous Saturday Seminars provide a sense of the depth and insight our guest teachers bring to reading Scripture and reflecting on the Christian life.
